The Fisayo Soyombo intervarsity essay competition’s fifth edition is being announced by the Union Of Campus Journalists at the University of Ibadan.

The goal of the Fisayo Soyombo Intervarsity Essay Contest is to identify young, talented Nigerian students who have a talent for writing.

Additionally, it provides a forum for discussing and debating current events while giving remedies to areas that appear to be troublesome.

Fisayo Soyombo Intervarsity Essay Competition Requirements:

To participate in this year`s edition, students across all Universities in Nigeria should pay attention to the following:

You have been selected as the next president of Nigeria, pick an ailing sector in the country and provide practical solutions towards resuscitating it.
You are to attach a short bio of yourself and scanned ID cards of your school. (2) essay must not be more than 2500 words; Times New Roman. Font size: 12. Spacing: 1.5.
The essay should be attached as a PDF document. And do not insert your name or other ID details in the PDF
Submission of the essay writing should be done via ucjunibadan
Deadline for Submission: January 7, 2023.

Fisayo Soyombo Intervarsity Essay Competition Duration and Reward

This year`s edition will see the winner go home with a

sum of two hundred and fifty thousand plus internship Placement while
the 1^st Runner up and 2^nd Runner Up will go home
with One hundred and fifty thousand, and one hundred thousand respectively.

Fisayo Soyombo Intervarsity Essay Competition About the sponsor

Fisayo Soyombo, the contest’s sponsor, graduated from UCJ UI and held the office of president for the 2007–2008 academic year. He has experience as an investigative reporter.

He worked as an undercover journalist, spending five days as a suspect in a police cell and eight days as a prisoner in Ikoyi to investigate corruption in Nigeria’s criminal court system, among other things.

He founded the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), and both domestically and abroad, he has received numerous honors.
