Interested in a local position in one of the offices of the Western and Central Africa region of the World Bank;
Hold a Master’s and/or PhD Degree(s) with a minimum of 5-8 years of professionally relevant experience;
A technical expert with development experience in the relevant areas;
Fluent in oral and written English. French is also required for some positions.
The Standard Language of the World Bank and Level is Required
English is the official language. The World Bank needs competency, which includes fluency in speech and writing, as well as the ability to swiftly explain topics, write reports, and give presentations.
Some roles, as mentioned in the vacancy announcement, need French (written and spoken) in addition to English. The interviews will be held in English. For employment with this language requirement, candidates must demonstrate fluency in French.
