Huawei’s Seeds for the Future Program 2022 for young Kenyan University Students

Huawei’s global CSR flagship program is the Seeds for the Future Program. Since 2014, Huawei and the ICT Authority have collaborated to strengthen the ICT ecosystem in Kenya by increasing ICT skills and capability through the program. This is intended to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing internships and training. Over 180 students have benefited from the program to date.

Because of the pandemic’s restrictions, the Seeds for the Future program will be held virtually for the second year.

Huawei’s Seeds for the Future Program 2022 Requirements:

• Kenyan students currently studying at the university preferably with a major in ICT or STEM
• Demonstrated excellent academic acumen
• Passionate about telecoms and technology trends

Huawei’s Seeds for the Future Program 2022 Benefits

During the 7-day program, the participants will:
• Receive entry level and advanced courses on key technologies, including 5G, cloud computing and AI
• Experience the traditional and modern China through virtual tours of Chinese scenic spots or fast growing companies
• Hear from Huawei experts, external entrepreneurs, professors or scientists who will share perspectives on a wide range of topics from cyber security to aerospace industry
• Immerse in an interactive and dynamic classroom where group discussion, debate, round table dialogues will be arranged to ensure cross-cultural exchanges with fellows from other countries
• Get a glimpse at Huawei’s history and technological developments including virtual tours of Huawei exhibition halls, campus and stores

Huawei’s Seeds for the Future Program 2022 Application Procedure:

• A resume,
• A proof of GPA/ unofficial transcript
• A motivation letter between 400-600 words that shows why you want to participate in this program, you relevant part experience, your interests, and what you could potentially contribute to the program.

To be noted:
• Only shortlisted students will be selected and supported to take the training online.
• Only applications received before the closing date will be considered
• This is a non-salaried program and participation in the program does not imply that future employment will be offered by Huawei upon graduation, or any time in the future.
