$9.4million scholarship recipient graduates from US university with two degrees
Normandie Cormier in the year 2019 won an outstanding $9.4million scholarship after gaining admission into 139 universities in the United States. She graduated from the Early College Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana with an outstanding result that got her acceptance and scholarships.
Following the series of acceptances she got, the scholarship recipient decided to attend Historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) – Xavier University of Louisiana to earn her Bachelor’s degree. Three years after her admission, Normandie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with special concentration on Biology and Chemistry.
Celebrating her success on LinkedIn, Normandie says she is proud to graduate with her second degree, having set many records during her academic journey. “
I will be graduating from THEE illustrious Xavier University of Louisiana with my second college degree in Neuroscience. I am and will continue to be my ancestor’s wildest dreams,” she said.
Normandie, the “numerous scholarship” recipient went on to list several awards and accolades she had received after winning an outstanding $9.4million scholarship. She noted that she had been nominated as a 4-time White House HBCU scholar by President Obama, President Trump and President Biden.
Normandie also listed several other awards she had received and achievements she made during her academic journey. “Became a White House HBCU Scholar (4X WH scholar of academic excellence – Obama, Trump, Biden, Reagan), Founded an educational enterprise worth $1 Million,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

The 21-year-old scholarship recipient also expressed how proud she is to have completed her degree in just three years without incurring any debts. “2 Degrees @ 21. Finished in 3 years, 100% Debt-Free,” she added.
Normandie was inspired to become a medical practitioner when she was a child. Since I was a child, I was always in and out of the hospital. When I was young, it affected my self-esteem. But now I can use it to inspire others,” Normandie told USA Today (2019).
