Deadline: May 22, 2022
In conjunction with the Circular Economy Solutions Dialogues, the Jindal School of Government & Public Policy’s Centre for Sustainability (CFS) is hosting the first worldwide summer school ‘From Extracting to Intersecting’ in collaboration with the Global Solutions Initiative (GSI) and GIZ. The summer program will be held on the Sonipat campus of OP Jindal Global University.
What Will the Summer School Be About?
The summer school will look at how the concept of “intersecting” can be used to reverse material and cognitive extractive processes by transitioning to circularity using creative economy tools and aiming for inclusive socio-ecological systems. The summer school will concentrate on putting the Intersecting model into practice. It will examine grassroots projects and connect them to larger societal and global development challenges. It speaks to a new generation of scholars and entrepreneurs, encouraging them to collaborate and learn from one another.
Who Can Apply?
The summer school is dedicated to engaged young professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students, aiming at making a difference through learning, sharing, and building bridges. Any Young Global Changer from the past six years (2017-2022) who is involved in a social-enterprise, project, initiative, or research activity around Circular Economy, is invited to apply. The top 5 candidates will be selected for the summer school.
A full scholarship covering travel expenses, full accommodation on campus and during the cultural program will be offered to the selected participants. Participants are expected to join in person for the full duration of the summer school.
