Virtual training for African Youth Agripreneurs

(May – July 2022)

We are thrilled to announce to you the call for applications for FAO virtual training for African youth agripreneurs.

The virtual training and self-paced training is conducted by FAO in partnership with RUFORUM. The training focuses on using personal initiative principles (self-starting, future thinking, and perseverance) to help trainees identify opportunities in the value chain, conduct market research, develop a prototype and conduct financial calculations.

Apply if you are:

  • An African youth agripreneur (younger than 35 years old)
  • Interested in receiving self-paced and online training on agripreneurship.
  • Available to participate in the training, submit weekly exercises and contribute to discussions between May and July 2022.
  • Working on an agriculture-related business including production, transportation, aggregation, processing or marketing.

On this journey, trainees will gain relevant knowledge, apply it immediately to their agribusiness and report back on the results. The training is self-paced: you will go through the slides yourself, submit weekly assignments, and participate in discussions and exchanges between agripreneurs.
